• Talcott Road (South Quaker to Grassmere)

• Boulevard (Riggs to South Main)

• Brunswick Avenue

• Keeney Avenue

Because of the planned work, motorists navigating their way around town will have to employ some patience.

According to officials, there will be about four or five days of milling, then two weeks of paving.

Trout Brook Drive, Talcott Road, and Boulevard will require detours, officials said.

Both police officers and flaggers will assist with traffic control.

"Motorists are reminded to be cautious while traveling on the milled surface and alert for raised manhole structures," wrote the Town of West Hartford. "Please seek alternate routes if possible."

The paving projects come as four other streets are are tentatively scheduled to be reconstructed this season.

"Roadway reconstructions are more complicated than re-paving and therefore take longer to complete, about one to two months," wrote the town.

"The work generally includes the replacement of the existing curb with a granite curb, replacement of existing driveway aprons with concrete aprons, replacement of selective sidewalk and drainage structures, re-establishment of the roadway base material, and paving."

Streets slated for complete makeover are St. Augustine Street; Highland Street; Warwick Street (Trout Brook Drive to Robin Road); and Pleasant Street.

Reconstruction projects span from May to October of each year.
