WEST HARTFORD, CT — A man was assaulted and knocked unconscious by three other men while on the dance floor at Los Imperios restaurant late Thursday night. West Hartford Police are asking for the public’s assistance with the investigation of the assault.

West Hartford Police responded to Los Imperios, located at 904 Farmington Avenue, shortly after midnight on Aug. 18 on a report from the restaurant’s security that a man had been assaulted and was unconscious inside the bar area.

Officers responded and found a shirtless man, who was bleeding from the head, laying inside the bar area, according to Lt. Michael Perruccio.

Perruccio said security inside the business did not see the assault and were unable to detain anyone. The suspects possibly included a man with dreadlocks who was wearing a dark red zip-up jacket and another man wearing a dark-colored hoodie, according to Perruccio.

Police are asking anyone with any information concerning the assault or those that might have video or photos to contact Detective Robert Magao in the Special Investigations Division at 860-570-8841.

“In addition to the assault, there were multiple complaints from neighbors concerning patrons leaving and motorcycles racing up and down the street,” Perruccio said. “In addition to the two officers assigned to the outside of the business, four additional police cruisers and a supervisor were sent into the area to maintain order.”
