Man Charged With Pulling Gun On Basketball Player: West Hartford PD
The incident happened last week at a West Hartford middle school, which was home to an 'open gym' pickup basketball program.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Wednesday said they charged a 29-year-old man in connection with a basketball court disturbance last week in which a gun was pulled on another person.
The West Hartford Police Department said, in conjunction with help from the Hartford Police Deparment, Tyre Jaquan Pinder, 29, was charged Wednesday with possession of a weapon on school grounds; first-degree reckless endangerment; third-degree assault; and second-degree breach of peace.
He was being held on $75,000 bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court, police said.

Police said the incident happened March 29 at an "open gym" session for adults at Sedgwick Middle School in West Hartford.
"After the completion of a pickup basketball game within the gym, a disturbance evolved into a physical fight and ended up with one individual pulling out what was reported to be a firearm," police said.

Police said all individuals dispersed from the gym and the suspect was seen running to his vehicle, entering it, and leaving the school’s property at approximately 9:21 p.m. that night.
