Northwest Catholic Delights at Annual Cabaret Night
Kudos to NWC musicians, teachers and thank you to NWC parents in the Music Boosters Club for hosting another spectacular evening!
Every spring the Northwest Catholic community gathers for its Annual Jazz Cabaret Night. On May 2nd, the school’s Jazz Choir, Big Band, and Unified Jazz band crooned and swooned while guests mingled, enjoyed drinks and dinner, and took their chances in the many raffles.
This feel-good celebration did not disappoint, especially when the Jazz Choir serenaded the audience with “Feeling Good!” They went on to sing classics like “Sh Boom Sh Boom” and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." A very special guest, NWC President Christian Cashman, made a cameo when he joined seniors Matthew Villani and Brendan Chan on the stage to sing "You've Got a Friend in Me." The Jazz Choir's second and third sets were also filled with crowd-pleasing, show-stopping, toe-tapping numbers.
The Unified Jazz Band, comprised of students from both Northwest Catholic and the Intensive Education Academy, as well as the school’s Big Band also delighted the audience. Senior soloists were featured prominently, and the award-winning Big Band returned to the stage for two more sets to keep the mood high.
