Overnight Burglaries Investigated In West Hartford
Police are looking for two suspects in connection to two burglaries that occurred overnight in West Hartford.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating two overnight burglaries that occurred in West Hartford on Wednesday. A liquor store and a shopping plaza were burglarized within hours of each other by different suspects, according to police.
Police responded to 612 South Quaker Lane (The Wise Old Dog) at about 1:20 a.m. in response to a burglar alarm. Arriving officers found that the front door had been smashed and a suspect had entered the store. A K-9 team from Manchester responded and cleared the building.
“Store surveillance cameras showed that a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt kicked a window out of the front door and then entered the store,” police wrote in the report. “The male then walked behind the counter and concealed a large amount of liquor bottles in a duffel bag before quickly exiting the store and heading southwest.”

The suspect is described by police as a black male with facial hair and was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt. Police say the suspect appears to be the same suspect from another case on Aug. 11.
Police responded to another burglar alarm at about 3:05 a.m. at 1037 Boulevard (Sam’s Food Store). Police said the front door had been smashed with a brick and the suspect entered the building, which includes Subway, Sam’s Food Store and Dunkin Donuts.
