Park Road At I-84 Construction Update
Officials update on the progress of a construction project in West Hartford.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — (From Town Hall): The reconstruction of the Park Road and the I-84 interchange is progressing well. The contractor is fine grading the new off-ramp and expects to be ready to pave the ramp in September.
A partial closure/detour is now in place on Park Road. Park Road has been reduced to one travel lane in each direction between Raymond Road and the I-84 Exit 43 Off-Ramp. The closure will remain in place 24 hours a day for several weeks and there will be limited access to the I-84 On-Ramp.
Motorists traveling east on Park Road are able to access the I-84 on-ramp to proceed east or west. Park Road westbound traffic, wishing to access I-84 will be detoured to the Main Street (Interchange 41) ramps. Please follow the detour and do NOT attempt a U-Turn on Park Road or turn around on side streets. These maneuvers are dangerous, disrupt traffic flow, and are discourteous to the neighboring residents.

Trout Brook Drive (Interchange 42) is the recommended alternate to access I-84 East. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to avoid the project area and seek alternate routes when possible. Check the Park Road/I-84 web page for more updates. www.westhartfordct.gov/parkroad.
