Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Car in West Hartford, South Main Street Closed

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Police said Friday the department's Traffic Division is investigating a serious accident on South Main Street.

The incident resulted in a pedestrian being hit and killed by a car, however police said the incident was not a hit-and-run, according to Fox 61.

South Main Street is closed between New Britain Avenue and Elmfield Street, and should be for several hours. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

Police said any further updates regarding the accident will be given at a later time.
