Police Investigating 30 Break-Ins In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT - The West Hartford Police Department is currently investigating approximately 30 overnight burglaries into vehicles and garages. Police said loose change, bikes and electronics were taken as a result of these incidents.

These incidents occurred in the areas of Farmington Avenue, Garfield Road, Sunset Terrace, Tunxis Road, Mountain Road, Ridgewood Road, Sedgwick Road, Lemay Street and Rosedale Road, according to a release. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police also reported an overnight house burglary on Long Lane Road where unidentified suspects entered the unlocked rear door of the home and made off with a 55-inch television and other electronics. The residents were home and sleeping when this occurred, police said.

Police said it is unlikely the car and home burglaries are related, but detectives will be following up. Police also remind residents to lock up their homes and vehicles at all times.
