Prepare For Disaster At West Hartford Program

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is hosting a forum Thursday on how families can prep for natural and man-made disasters.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The local health department is hosting a special event this week about preparing for disaster.

The speaker for the program is Melissa Marquis, public health emergency response specialist for the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District, on Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Elmwood Community Center, 1106 New Britain Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m.

It is particularly apropos given that Connecticut just missed the impacts of Hurricane Lee over the weekend and September is National Preparedness Month.

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is inviting residents to a presentation on how to protect their health and wellness during a disaster.
