WEST HARTFORD, CT — A physician from West Hartford has been fined by the state for violating ethics standards following a romantic relationship he had with a patient in 2019-20.

That relationship, according to the state, constituted "boundary violations" and violated state statutes.
According to the documents, Krug neither admitted guilt nor wrongdoing, but he has chosen to not contest the allegations.
Krug voluntarily completed a course on ethics and boundaries in medicine, according to state documents.
In addition to the fine, the consent order agreement amounts to an official reprimand against his medical license, according to documents.
Documents show Krug signed the order on Aug. 24 and the order was submitted to the state on Sept. 14.
