Reward Offered In Armed Bank Robbery Case: West Hartford Police

Two suspects wearing fedoras and wielding guns robbed a bank in West Hartford over the weekend. A reward is being offered for their arrest.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects responsible for the armed robbery of the Santander Bank this past weekend. West Hartford Police responded to the bank, located at 1040 Boulevard, at about 9 a.m. on Aug. 26 on the report of an armed bank robbery.

Police said two black male suspects brandished guns inside the bank and the suspects fled on foot prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of money. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The bank had just opened for business at the time of the robbery and no one was injured during the incident, according to Sgt. Tony Anderle.

West Hartford Detectives and the FBI responded to the incident and processed the bank for evidence, according to Anderle. Witnesses reported seeing the two suspects running northwest behind the bank toward Fairview Street.
