Road Closure Announced In West Hartford
Officials provide an update on the I-84 construction project.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Raymond Road in West Hartford is expected to be closed from Park Road to Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through June 1 due to the Park Road I-84 construction project. Read the latest update on the project from town officials below:
Construction work continues between the existing on and off ramps. The contractor has completed the construction of the retaining wall and is preparing to grade the new off-ramp. In early June traffic on both the on and off-ramps will be temporarily shifted and additional concrete barriers will be installed to separate traffic from the work zone. On Park Road, the contractor is continuing to install the new storm drainage system.
Raymond Road is expected to be closed from Park Road to Boulevard on Tuesday, May 29 to Friday, June 1 between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Raymond Road will remain open for residents, school buses, and emergency vehicles. Park Road will have temporary lane closures and detours will be in place to maintain safe work areas. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to avoid the project area and seek alternate routes when possible.
