Seniors at Northwest Catholic are Commended Students
Four seniors at Northwest Catholic earned the distinction of Commended Students in 2018 National Merit Program.

Michael Baldini and William Robinson, both of West Hartford, as well as Luke Connal and Matthew Villani, both of Avon, were recognized as Commended Students by the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
These seniors were among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2018 competition by taking the 2016 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, or PSAT/NMSQT.
Upon learning of their success, NWC President Cashman remarked, “Our community is so very proud of Michael, Luke, Will, and Matthew for achieving Commended honors in the National Merit program. They are an all-star list of Northwest Catholic’s finest.” Cashman continued, “They exemplify in every way the mission, values, and graduate profile of our school. They are not just young men of intellectual curiosity and rigor, but they are whole people, mind, body, spirit, and imagination.” Cashman closed with: “It comes as no surprise that these young men are members of our HILL and ACTS, our most prestigious honors leadership courses here at Northwest Catholic.”
