One Hurt After Car, School Bus Collide In West Hartford: Update
West Hartford police had to close a busy road to traffic for hours.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating a serious car-versus-school bus crash Wednesday that sent one to the hospital and shut down a major local roadway.
According to the West Hartford Police Department, at about 4:O4 p.m. emergency personnel were called to North Main Street at Miller Road for a reported head-on collision involving a car and school bus.
Police said first responders arrived on scene and provided medical attention to the driver of the car, who was transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

"At this time, the extent of (the) injuries is unknown," police wrote in a statement sent out at 6:19 p.m. Wednesday.
The school bus was occupied, but there were no reported injuries sustained by the school bus passengers, police said.

As a result of the collision, North Main Street between Miller Road and Proctor Drive were
closed to traffic in both directions.
At 9:03 p.m. Wednesday, police announced via Twitter that the road was reopened to traffic.
The West Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating this
incident, police said.
