Crash Involving Motorcycle On I-84 In West Hartford Cleared: Update
The accident initially resulted in the closure of two lanes on the highway with the highway eventually being closed much of the day.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Traffic was slowed late Thursday morning on Interstate 84 in West Hartford after a serious accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, but it is now cleared after several hours.
According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened on I-84 east between exits 39A and 40.
As a result of the crash, the left and right lanes were closed, but as of 11:34 a.m., the eastbound lane was shut down.

It remained shut down for the afternoon, with incident no longer showing up on state incident reports after 3 p.m.
The accident was first reported at 11:18 a.m.
