Several West Hartford Streets To Get Facelift
Paving work on nine local roads slated to begin Tuesday, July 5.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Following the holiday weekend, motorists in West Hartford are reminded that several streets locally are targeted for paving work starting Tuesday.
According to an announcement from the Town of West Hartfod, those streets include: Berwyn Road; Berwyn Lane; Brookside Drive ; Cliffmore Road (Rustic Lane to Brookside Drive); Fairwood Farms Drive; Garland Road; North Main Street (Asylum Avenue to Wyndwood Road); Oakwood Avenue (Wilfred Street to Flatbush Avenue) ; and Rustic Lane.
"We anticipate about a week to complete the roadway milling and two-to-three weeks to complete the paving," reads a town statement on the project.

Signed detours will be in place on North Main Street and Oakwood Avenue during active construction, but the roads will be re-opened to traffic at the end of each work day.
As a result, motorists should use caution and reduce speeds while travelling on the milled surface and be alert for raised manhole structures.
