‘Smiling’ Signs Aim To Curb Speeding In West Hartford: Report
Innovative signs around town are using positive reinforcement to help get motorists to slow down.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — New electronic traffic signs are using positive reinforcement to help get motorists to slow down by displaying a smiley face emoji when drivers are operating at or below the speed limit, according to We-Ha.com.
We-Ha.com reports motorists who are driving 1 mph or above the speed limit will be greeted with “SLOW DOWN” and “TOO FAST.”
The innovative signs can be found on North Main Street near the American School for the Deaf and South Main Street near Rockledge Golf Course, according to We-Ha.com.
