West Hartford's St. Thomas the Apostle School Honors Veterans

School family gathers for a morning ceremony on Nov. 11.

Teachers and students from every grade helped to honor veterans at a ceremony at St. Thomas the Apostle School this morning. The program began with the presentation of the flags from the Boy Scout troop.

Students sang, performed music, shared artwork, and presented poetry and letters to show their respect and appreciation for 24 veterans and active duty soldiers gathered in Driscoll Hall.

The program culminated with a slideshow depicting over 60 veterans from the school community as the whole school joined in to sing “Thank you, Soldiers.”
