Taxpayers Can Appeal West Hartford Vehicle Assessments

One appeals session is slated for Thursday, another set for Saturday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Those who disagree with their tax assessments for their motor vehicles have an avenue to appeal them this week.

The Town of West Hartford’s Board of Assessment Appeals is hosting two sessions where taxpayers can appeal their motor vehicle assessments on the Oct. 1, 2021 Grand List.

Those assessments are used to determine the next tax bills for individuals' motor vehicles.

The special sessions will be held in Room 142 at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St., West Hartford.

The first session will be on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. and the second one will be Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Those seeking to appeal their vehicle assessments should be sure to bring filled-out applications and the motor vehicle(s) for which they are appealing.

Applications for the appeals are available in the West Hartford Assessor’s Office in Room 142 of the West Hartford Town Hall and online at www.westhartfordct.gov.
