Update: Three-Vehicle Crash Cleared On I-84 In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A three-vehicle accident caused some traffic woes in West Hartford on Interstate 84, but it was just cleared after nearly two and a half hours.

According to the state Department of Transportation, I-84 westbound was backed up nearly 1.9 miles between exits 41 and 40 with the right shoulder closed.

The accident was reported at 2:53 p.m. and, according to the DOT's Twitter feed, it was finally cleared by 5:23 p.m.
