Town Republican Express Disapproval Over UConn West Hartford Campus Purchase

Town republicans recently made robocalls to express their disapproval over the town's decision to purchase UConn's West Hartford campus.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Republican Town Committee leaders recently took to the phones to express their disapproval of a decision to purchase the local University of Connecticut campus, the Hartford Courant reported. The purchase came with a price tag of $1 million.

With the help of the GOP, the committee made robocalls to more than 4,500 registered Democrats accusing leaders of irresponsible government spending, according to the Hartford Courant. The calls took place on May 30. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
