Ukraine War Topic Of West Hartford Public Library Program
Folks are invited to a virtual talk and movie Wednesday looking at the war in Ukraine and the country's battle against Russian invaders.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Public Library Wednesday is hosting an evening virtual program on the war in Ukraine.
The library is hosting University of New Haven Professor Olena Lennon for a discussion and viewing of the film entitled "One Year of War." It will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
In February 2022, Russian and its brutal dictator Vladamir Putin sent in waves of troops in an attempt to occupy and take over the former Soviet republic and now sovereign nation, Ukraine.

What was thought to have been a three-day war is still ongoing, with Ukraine driving the Russians east with the logistical and military hardware from the free world.
But despite Russia suffering catastrophic casualties, Ukrainian forces have also been hit hard, with thousands of civilians, including children, among the Ukrainians slaughtered at the hands of the Russians.
