Vehicle That Killed Elderly Woman Dec. 20 Still Not Found: WeHa Police

West Hartford police issued a new call for help as they try and find the motorist responsible for an elderly woman's hit-and-run death.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Nearly two months after a vehicle struck and killed an eldely woman on Boulevard near Whiting Lane, police are still asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle.

The West Hartford Police Department Wednesday issued an alert reiterating prior requests for public help since the Dec. 20 fatal incident.

According to the WHPD, officers are still looking for the vehicle and driver believed responsible.

"As a reminder, evidence suggests that a light-colored 2010 to 2015 GMC Terrain with some front-end damage was present in the area where the collision occurred," wrote the WHPD.

This accident happened during a brutal month on town roads, when five people total were killed in multiple accidents on West Hartford roads in the lead-up to Christmas, with three killed on Christmas Day.

This prompted a town-wide effort to cut down on serious pedestrian/vehicular accidents.
