Volunteers Needed To Clean Up West Hartford Park

The 'Friends of West Hartford Parks' group is hosting a community clean-up event Saturday, April 27, at Beachland Park.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local parks booster organization dedicated to helping West Hartford's recreation facilities is seeking helpers to clean up one local park on Saturday morning, April 27.

The Friends of West Hartford Parks organization is hosting a "Spring Clean-Up" at Beachland Park, 847 Quaker Lane South.

It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon that day, with volunteers asked to gather at the cottage on site.

Registration is encouraged.

"While we will provide supplies, you may wish to bring a water bottle and work gloves," wrote the Friends of West Hartford Parks.

Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately as work will take place near the woods and they should consider work boots or other waterproof footwear.
