Water Main Work Slated For Section Of West Hartford
Water main work will commence in an area of West Hartford next week.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Beginning the week of May 2, the Metropolitan District and its contractor, Paramount Construction, will be working to install a new water main along Newington Road.
Construction work will start at the intersection with Newington Road and New Britain Avenue. A detour will be in place for three to five days to accommodate the proximity of the work zone to New Britain Avenue.
The new water main will replace old, existing, infrastructure and services will be reconnected and/or installed to the property line. Additional notices will be provided as work progresses.

During construction work hours, northbound traffic on Newington Road will be detoured at Page Avenue to Cambridge Road to New Britain Avenue. Access to local businesses will be maintained. Safety signage and traffic control personnel will be in the area. .
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
