WeHa Families Invited To Film Screening On Teen Issues
The event, organized by local youth and school groups, will feature a documentary film on teen issues like vaping, drugs and digital media.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Parents and teens are invited to a special film presentation on common teen issues like vaping, alcohol use and digital media.
It will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2, in West Hartford.
Hosted by West Hartford's Community of Concern (CC), Prevention Partnership (WHPP), and Public Schools (WHPS), the showing of "Screenagers Under the Influence: Addressing Vaping, Drugs & Alcohol in the Digital Age" will take place at Bristow Middle School, 34 Highland St., West Hartford.

It will take place from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m.
The program includes viewing the 70-minute film, followed by a panel discussion with teens.

In addition, prevention resources from community organizations will be available before and after.
Adult caregivers and students in sixth grade and up are invited to attend a screening.
Event organizers called the film an "eye-opening film about the impact of our digital age on teens' decision-making in relation to vaping, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs use - as well as gaming."
The overriding issue of concern is how teens decide what they will and will not be influenced by.
The event is free, but registration is requested.
