WeHa Food Pantry Seeks Donations Of Certain Items

Pasta, beans and soup are among the items especially sought by West Hartford Social Services.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's food pantry recently announced that it is looking for certain donations to replenish its stocks.

According to a recent announcement, the pantry — operated by West Hartford Social Services — is most in need of soup, shelf-stable milk (32 ounce containers), baked beans, canned fruit/applesause, pasta/sauce and peanut butters.

West Hartford Social Servics does not accepted expired, opened or perishable foot items.

Located in Room 130 in West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St., the pantry provides pre-packed bags to clients.

"Therefore we prefer that you donate staple items from this list," wrote West Hartford Social Servics on its website. "We are always in need of gluten free, low sugar, and low sodium items."
