WeHa Sets Sights On Improving Bicycling Scene
The Town of West Hartford is asking folks to take an online survey regarding bicycling in town as it looks to update its bicycling plan.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Eventually, the 15 inches or so of snow that fell on West Hartford Tuesday will melt and bicyclists will be able to navigate around town again.
But until that happens, bicyclists, pedestrians, residents and business owners might want to take a special survey from the Town of West Hartford about how the town will help make biking around town safer and more manageable.
Currently, the town is updating what is called its "Bicycle Facilities Plan."

This document isn't complicated, but it aims to identify streets in West Hartford that could benefit from some work to provide and improve the bicycling scene, such as adding bike lanes or bike racks.
"In the process of updating this plan, we would like to better understand the needs of bicyclists and the thoughts and concerns of all residents regarding the use of streets for bicycling," wrote the town in an announcement.
