Update: West Hartford Crash On I-84 Cleared

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Two lanes were closed and traffic was backed up on Interstate 84 eastbound in West Hartford following an early-afternoon accident that state officials said is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the two-vehicle accident was between exits 41 and 43 on I-84, with the right and center lanes closed.

The DOT said via Twitter that the accident, which was near the Exit 43 Park Road exit, was cleared at about 12:44 p.m.

The accident was first reported at about 12:19 p.m. Tuesday.
