West Hartford Juneteenth Celebration Seeks Help
Volunteers and donations are being sought by event organizers for a large Juneteenth celebration in West Hartford on June 15.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local officials are looking for donations of time and money from the community to have a memorial Juneteenth celebration in town in June.
June 15 is a national holidday marking the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating African-American freedom, achievement, and contributions.

"Our celebration is more than just a gathering; it's a vibrant showcase of culture, resilience, and unity," wrote the Town of West Hartford. "We need your help to bring this free event to West Hartford. Sustainable CT will match dollar-to-dollar any donation made through Juneteenth Patronicity."
