West Hartford Library Challenges Adults To Read

The library urges folks to participate in the 2022 West Hartford Library Adult Summer Reading Challenge, which ends Aug. 31

WEST HARTFORD, CT — For adults, there's still time to rack up a chance for various prizes courtesy of the West Hartford Library's Adult Summer Reading Challenge.

Folks piling up the reading content during the warm-weather months can get various prizes courtesy of the library, provided they can check off the proverbial boxes on different types of reading materials.

The library has several different categories of reading. The more categories completed, the greater the chance at prizes.

For example, folks can read a book about a place they want to visit, read a coming-of-age story or read a book published in the year they were were born, among many, many other categories.

The program actually began June 14 when the kids got out of school and continues until Aug. 31, when the children go back to the classroom.

West Hartford has three different public libraries in town, the Noah Webster Library, Bishops Corner and Faxon site.

The adult summer reading challenge was made possible by the Thomas F. Kilfoil Memorial Bequest, West Hartford Library Foundation.
