WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford native wowed the crowd at Madison Square Garden this week with an impressive impromptu performance during a Michael Bublé concert. Some say it was such a magical moment, it could have been something out of the Oscar-nominated movie “A Star is Born.” Except in this case, it wasn’t a famous singer played by Bradley Cooper inviting an unknown singer, played by Lady Gaga, up on stage at a concert. It was Bublé inviting West Hartford’s own Erin Bellucci, 21, to sing at his concert.

The big moment, which has drawn national attention, came when on Wednesday night while Bublé was engaging with fans and invited Bellucci to sing a rendition of her favorite song "At Last" by Etta James, according to NBC’s Today. Bellucci, a 2016 Hall High graduate, was at the concert with her sister Allison Bellucci, who recorded the performance, according to We-Ha.com.

Erin’s performance was so good that Bublé had to assure the crowd that it wasn’t planned and she hadn’t been planted there, according to Today.

We-Ha.com reports that Erin Bellucci, a junior at the University of Delaware, is no stranger to making headlines as she was a successful kicker for the Hall football team during her senior year and even kicked an extra-point during the all-star game. She also sang the National Anthem during that same all-star game.
