WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police, like the rest of the West Hartford community, want folks to attend and enjoy the 35th annual Holiday Stroll Thursday night.

But if you're not planning to attend, police say folks should avoid the area due to traffic and pedestrian concerns.

The West Hartford Police Department Tuesday issued a traffic alert for the event, asking people to avoid the area if they don't plan on attending the holiday soiree.
