WEST HARTFORD, CT — A trip to a local supermarket and a subsequent Play 4 drawing ticket purchase proved quite profitable for a local resident Monday.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., West Hartford resident Govinda Pandey purchased a Play 4 Night game ticket and picked the winning numbers to the tune of a $17,708 payout.

The ticket was purchased at the West Hartford Stop & Shop supermarket, according to the lottery corporation.

Play 4 starts with a 50 cent ticket and it includes multiple options for multipliers for additional charges up to $5. The maximum payout is $25,000, with the smallest payout being $25.
