West Hartford Solar Provider Honored By State Nonprofit

The company won the Connecticut Green Bank's 'Outstanding Project Award.'

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A locally based solar energy developer was honored recently by a state nonprofit dedicated to investing public dollars for solar projects.

Verogy, a West Hartford solar energy developer was recently awarded the "Outstanding Project Award" from the Connecticut Green Bank for Verogy's project at Meadow Ridge, a continuing care retirement community in Redding.

This marks the second year in a row Verogy has been honored with an Outstanding Project Award.

“Verogy is excited that we've been honored with the Outstanding Project Award by the Connecticut Green Bank for our solar project at Meadow Ridge," said Will Herchel, chief executive officer of Verogy in a statement.

"This award reflects our team's commitment to deliver this impactful project, which will produce over 800,000 kWh of clean energy annually while avoiding over 600 metric tons of carbon emissions every year – the equivalent of a car being driven more than 1.5 million miles.
