Repairs Planned At West Hartford's Webster Walk In West Hartford's Blue Back Square (patch.com) — West Hartford residents who frequent Webster Walk in Blue Back Square should expect temporary closures as the town repairs the pergola and surrounding steps from Aug. 24 to Sept. 6. The popular walkway, which links West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square near the Noah Webster statue, will host no events during the renovation period while structural and cosmetic improvements are completed.
   

2. West Hartford Police Cruiser Damaged by Suspect Vehicle Fleeing Traffic Stop - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — West Hartford Police say a traffic stop on Prospect Avenue turned dangerous Friday morning when a driver backed into a cruiser in a Dunkin' lot and fled toward I-84. Officers later apprehended two Hartford residents in Farmington, and both now face multiple charges, including narcotics and paraphernalia offenses, with court dates set in Hartford.
   

3. West Hartford Construction and Demolition Buzz: August 23, 2026 - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Major construction and demolition projects are reshaping key parts of West Hartford, from Farmington Avenue's new sidewalks and bike lanes to the rising Jayden apartments on New Park Avenue and the Residences at Heritage Park.
