West Hartford Veterans Invited To Special Breakfast
The event will take place Wednesday, Nov. 8, with registration due by Monday, Nov. 6.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Veterans Day is Nov. 11, but West Hartford's Elmwood Senior Center is hosting a veterans breakfast to honor those who have served their country a few days earlier.
The center, located at 1106 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, will host a free breakfast for veterans that will also feature entertainment.
It will take place Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the site, which is accessible via Burgoyne Street. Registration for the event is at the end of the day on Monday, Nov. 6.

The meal will feature scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, French toast casserole, fruit, coffee, tea and juice.
Providing entertainment will be "The Chatfield Singers," who will perform various patriotic tunes.

"Honoring our veterans with food, fun and friends will brighten this day and fill our hearts with thanks and gratitude for their faithful service and sacrifice," wrote the center in an announcement.
To register, call the center at 860-561-8180. The breakfast is free for veterans and $5 for guests.
