West Hartford's 'Skate Night' More Than Just Ice Skating
The annual program at the town's rink aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention/mental health and will it benefit the teen center.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — While still too warm to skate on a lake, the ice is always safe at West Hartford's Veterans Memorial Ice Rink.
And the annual "Skate Night" event on Friday, Oct. 6, will do more than just provide a fun night out. It might just save a life, aiding the local teen center in the process.
In recognition of Mental Illness Awareness Week, the Connecticut branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and West Hartford Prevention Partnership will have exhibitors providing resources on mental health, addiction and suicide prevention.
