WH Trash Collection Impacted By July 4
West Hartford announces how upcoming holiday will impact trash, recycling collection that week.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Town officials have announced how trash and recycling collection will impact residents due to the upcoming Fourth of July holiday, which is Monday, July 4.
Municipal facilities, including West Hartford Town Hall, libraries, schools, community centers, senior centers and camp programs are closed on Monday in observance of Independence Day.
According to the town, the holiday means a one-day delay in regular trash collection.
Due to the July 4 holiday, trash, “B” week recycling, yard waste, metal and bulky collections during the week of July 4-9 will be one day late after the Monday holiday.

Monday’s collections will be done on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday with each remaining day of the week being one day later than normal.
