WEST HAVEN, CT — The recent shooting of a woman in West Haven was originally part of a plot to kidnap, torture and kill the victim, according to the Connecticut Post. Two more people were arrested this week in connection with the shooting.

Nathan J. Collins, 29, of West Haven, was arrested last week and charged with attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal possession of pistol/revolver, carrying pistol without permit, criminal violation of protective order and illegal discharge of firearm. Police were searching for Collins after they said he shot a woman in a parking lot during a domestic violence incident and fled the area.
