The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
The greatest of challenges to our community right now is divisiveness. We seem to have lost the ability to respectfully disagree with one another. We’ve seen more of the “I’m right, you’re wrong” approach than the “let’s figure this out together” mentality. We need to bring understanding back into the picture. As a member of the Board of Selectmen, it is always my approach to listen to those who take the time to speak at a meeting, pull you aside afterward or reach out with a call or an email. I have learned so much by having conversations with those who look at an issue from a different perspective. It’s how we all grow, and how our community can come back together. I will continue to advocate for civil discourse, and respect and understanding.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
As the only woman in the field of candidates for the Board of Selectmen, I bring a different perspective to the table. I understand the juggling act many of the moms in our community deal with on a daily basis.
Accomplishments:
I have been actively engaged in this role since my initial appointment and subsequent election in 2018.
Other issues:
Prioritize education, maintain local control, be fiscally responsible, and make decisions with Easton's best interest at the forefront
What else would you like voters to know about you?
While there is no magic wand to wave to address our issues and concerns and we can only reach solutions by working together. I look forward to continuing to do that work for you.
