Spring Time Swing Time

Weston Elite Artist Give A Concert.

With a long history as a home for artists and the arts, dating back to last century, it should come with little surprise that a group of our local stars would come together for an afternoon of song and performance to support the arts and our seniors in Town.

On Sunday, May 20th, beginning at 3pm, notables from Broadway and beyond will regroup in their home town of Weston for a concert, Springtime Swingtime with host, Two Time Tony Award Winner, James Naughton, and The Amazing Chris Coogan as Musical Director.

“The Senior Center met with us last year to discuss putting on a performance with some local artists as a way to raise funds for both The Friends of The Sr Center and WestonArts. We knew there was talent among us, but the response to be a part of this event overwhelmed us!”, says Claudia Hahn, Chair of Weston Arts, Inc., the local non-profit in town that will co-hosting the day.

Weston High School graduates shine as the source for much of the musical talent that will be on display. Chris Coogan, and film and musical star, Greg Naughton, both Class of '86, will be joined by Kristen Hahn,'07, who has appeared recently on Broadway and regionally. More recent WHS graduates, Rebecca Borowik '14, and Samantha Rehr '11, will add their vibrant voices to the American standards being presented.

Ticket holders will also be treated to the amazing vocals of husband and wife team, Barbara Schottenfeld and Paul Bogaev. Mr. Bogaev is an award-winning artist, known internationally as a Broadway Musical Director, composer, and conductor. Miss Schottenfeld, a multi-talented writer-performer, is best known for her one-woman show and appears all over the US.
