Valiante Gets 8 Years for Helping Navin Murder His Parents
Her boyfriend killed his parents after learning they planned to sell the family business and cut him out of their will.

EASTON, CT - Jennifer Valiante, accused of helping her boyfriend, Kyle Navin in the fatal shooting of his Easton parents, was sentenced Wednesday to eight years in prison, CTPost is reporting.
In November, Valiante, 32, pleaded guilty, under the Alford Doctrine, to conspiracy to commit murder to hindering prosecution in exchange for an eight year prison sentence.
The judge sentenced her on Wednesday to 16 years, suspended after she serves eight years in prison. That term will be followed by five years of probation. Valiente was also ordered to undergo drug evaluation and treatment.

Navin's parents had been reported missing in August 2015. Their bodies were found shot dead three months later, buried within contractor bags in a yard at an abandoned home in Weston. The Navins owned J&J Refuse in Westport, where their son worked.

Kyle was the operations manager, according to their website. Jeanette Navin was a paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School. Court documents state that Kyle killed his parents after learning they planned to sell the family business and cut him out of their will.
