[VIDEO] Cause of Death Released in Murdered Easton Couple Case

The medical examiner released the cause of death of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin of Easton. Their son Kyle is being charged with their murders

The State’s Medical Examiner James Gill has released the cause of death in the murdered Easton couple case, according to the Hartford Courant.

Gill has ruled that Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, missing since Aug. 4, 2015, died of gunshot wounds and that both of their deaths were homicides.

The paper reported that Jeanette Navin died of gunshot wounds to her torso and her extremities. She was found wrapped in a blanket under a pile of leaves at a Weston home last Thursday.

Jeffrey Navin was found in a contractor garbage bag with his legs taped.

The Navin’s son Kyle, 27, has been charged with 2 counts of murder and murder with special circumstances. His girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, 31, of Westport, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree hindering prosecution. She has denied having any involvement in the murders.

Jeffrey Navin, 56, and his wife Jeanette Navin, 55, mysteriously disappeared Aug. 4. Police investigators said Kyle is the last known person to have seen them.

Jeffrey Navin owned Westport-based J&J Refuse Company. Kyle was the Operations Manager, according to their website. Jeanette Navin was a paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School. Court documents state that Kyle killed his parents after learning they planned to sell the family business and cut him out of their will.
