Weston's 'Walk the Runway' to Fund Scholarship
One high school senior girl from Weston, Easton or Redding will be selected as the scholarship winner.
WESTON, CT — The local chapter of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) presents its first annual mother-daughter fashion show, “Walk the Runway,” on Sun., Nov. 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the parish hall at Norfield Congregational Church, Weston.
The benefit will fund a scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior from Weston, Redding or Easton. One high school senior girl will be selected from one of those three towns as the scholarship winner. P.E.O. Chapter P-Weston draws its membership from those three neighboring towns.
“Walk the Runway” will feature mothers and daughters from the local area modeling the latest fashions from Scout & Molly’s in Westport, Snappy Gator in Fairfield and Wilton, and Southern Tide/Splash of Pink in Westport. Women are invited to bring their families and friends and spend an afternoon discovering the hottest trends for fall and winter, while helping P.E.O. raise scholarship money to help women fashion their future. The event includes a catered afternoon tea.

“We are very grateful to our sponsors, Crane Co., Vince and The Park Family, for their support of our scholarship fund,” said Jennifer Mitchell, president of Chapter P-Weston. “Without their help this fundraising event to increase educational opportunities for young women would not be possible.”
