Annual Children's Halloween Parade in Westport Set for Thursday

The event is for all children, especially those 8 and under, according to organizers.

WESTPORT, CT — The 2016 annual Children's Halloween Parade in Westport is scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2016, beginning at 3:30 p.m., announced the Westport Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L.

The event is for all children, especially those 8 and under, and participants and their parents are asked to meet on the 27th at Main Street and Post Road East at 3:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, festivities will be take place in Town Hall at 3:30 p.m.

The parade will go up Main Street, turn right onto Avery Place, then turn left on Myrtle Ave to Westport Town Hall. Entertainment, refreshments and a small gift will be provided on Veterans Green across from Town Hall at 4:00 p.m.

Please note that there will be NO PARKING on Main Street between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. during this event.
