Bysiewicz, Maher and Haskell support Christie and Wistreich
Meaningful support for the Westport Democratic Board of Selectmen Ticket at Campaign Launch at Library
Over 50 people, including Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, State Senator Ceci Maher, and former State Senator Will Haskell, came out to support Kevin Christie and Amy Wistreich as they launched their campaign for the Westport Board of Selectmen this morning at the Westport Public Library.
Christie, candidate for First Selectman and a current member of the Board of Education, promised a campaign that will be, “engaging and uplifting.” He said the team will prioritize engaged leadership in Town Hall, planning with fiscal responsibility, and fostering a thriving local economy.
Wistreich said that she and Christie connected because they, "share common values and a love of Westport." She also noted that those common values are shared by many in Town Hall and they look forward to working with colleagues from both sides of the aisle.

In endorsing the pair, Bysiewicz noted the challenging environment for funds from the state and national levels. "That's why it is so critical that you choose leaders who will be fiscally responsible and excellent guardians of the resources that Westport has."
