CT Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sept. 28 in Norwalk

The walk will take place at Calf Pasture Beach Park in Norwalk, Connecticut.

The Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association invites the community to join them in their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event is planned for Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 at Calf Pasture Beach Park in Norwalk, CT.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s was created to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Alzheimer’s disease is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. As of Friday, Aug. 22, the Connecticut Chapter has raised over $61,000 for the nonprofit organization.

Event registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. The route length is 3 miles on flat terrain. The park has a no pet policy. Calf Pasture Beach is located at 99 Calf Pasture Rd., Norwalk, CT.
