Former Westport Whole Foods Meat Cutter Sues for $15M over Wrongful Termination
He had complained about the store allegedly selling bad beef.

WESTPORT, CT - A former Westport Whole Foods meat cutter has sued the company for $15 million, claiming his termination came after he complained about the store selling bad beef.
The Connecticut Post reports that Angel Figueroa repeatedly complained to management about tainted and expired meat being sold at the store, in part because other meat cutters allegedly were not following proper protocols.
Representatives from the Westport-Weston Health District inspected the store, based on Figueroa's complaints, and found no violations.

Whole Foods vehemently denies the allegations from the lawsuit, a spokesperson told the Post. The company said Figueroa was fired for insubordination, creating an uncomfortable and hostile working environment and other violations.
