• August primary's early votes pass registrar's audit (westportjournal.com) — Westport's registrars confirmed that machine counts for the Aug. 11 primary early voting matched their hand audit, with only a one-vote discrepancy between Democratic gubernatorial candidates. In total, 587 early ballots were reviewed at Town Hall, including 538 from Westport Democrats. The results will be sent to the Secretary of State as part of Connecticut's routine post-election audit process.
   

• The 25th Annual CT United Motorcycle Ride Roars Through Westport On Sunday, August 30, 2026 (westportlocal.com) — Expect major traffic disruptions in Westport late Sunday morning as the CT United Ride departs Sherwood Island State Park and rolls along local roads and I‑95 with full police escort. The 9/11 tribute motorcade will close its route completely for at least 45 minutes, so drivers are urged to seek alternate routes and build in extra travel time.
